BOARD

Sam Masters

PRESIDENT

Sam is a second-generation missionary serving in Cordoba, Argentina. Sam leads a church planting team that began the Centro Crecer church in 1997. The ministry has been blessed with good growth and is now in the process of starting additional works led by families trained in the church. Sam and his wife, Carita, have three children. Their home church is International Bible Baptist Church in Miami, Florida where they served before becoming missionaries.

Larry Meers

CHAIRMAN

Larry is originally from Seymour, Texas and Christ saved him while he was attending the First Baptist Church of Seymour. He received a BSEE and BSME from Texas A&M University. Larry has lived in Abilene since 1973 and is currently the President of Meers Engineering, Inc. Larry and his wife, Jean, have been married for over 40 years and they have two grown children and three grandchildren.

Marcel Sanchez

TREASURER

Marcel Sanchez graduated from Trinity International University with a B. A. in Human Resources Management in May of 1996 and from the University of Phoenix with a Master of Arts in Organizational Management in October 2002. After serving more than sixteen years to enable global commerce, Marcel sensed the Lord’s call to leave the largest supply chain solutions provider in the world and enter the ministry as Associate Pastor at IBB in April of 2006. Marcel is a Husband, Father, Pastor and President of Motivational Speaking and Training Solutions. Marcel and his wife, Yami, have been married for more than 18 years and have two children, Luke and Savanah.

Paul Jeffries

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Paul Jeffries serves as Executive Director overseeing all day to day operations. Paul’s background includes managing multiple retail stores and leading volunteers, building operations and the arts for LifeConnection Church in Independence, Missouri. Paul currently serves as the Arts Pastor for LifeConnection which he and his wife Sarah helped launch in 2007. He and his wife Sarah live in Independence with their two children and many foster children.

Carlos Cañete

LATIN AMERICAN DIRECTOR

Carlos is Crecer’s Latin American Director and responsible for logistical management and operations of many of the projects we support. Carlos has served as a missionary for 29 years, leading missions teams and projects in various countries. He's a pastor at Centro Crecer Baptist church in Córdoba, Argentina, where he lives with his wife Liz and daughter Constanza.

Carita Masters

FINANCE MANAGER

Carita Masters is the Finance Manager of Crecer and responsible for accounting services in both North and South America. Carita is married to Sam Masters and active in many aspects of the ministry in Argentina.

Val Ponce de Leon

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Val is from North Carolina and moved to Argentina in 2009 to study theology. After completing her studies, she and her husband were given the opportunity to serve in a radio ministry which took them to Cordoba, Argentina. Currently she teaches English for professionals, works for the Crecer Foundation, and serves in Centro Crecer church.
